Job Description:
Under the supervision of the Director of Management & Coordination, the Accounting Officer will be responsible for some or all of the following tasks:
- Carry out, control, and validate daily financial transactions maintaining necessary supporting documents;
- Assist in the process of monthly/yearly accounts closure;
- Assist in the correct implementation of TCS regulations and guidelines by applying the required internal control mechanisms;
- Support the organization of events and activities of the TCS
- Other administrative tasks assigned by the Director of Management & Coordination and the Consultative Board.
Qualifications:
- Citizen of China, Japan, or the Republic of Korea
- University degree in accounting, statistics, finance, public administration, business administration, or other related studies
- English communication skills (official language of the TCS)
- Proficiency in Korean language (accounting language)
- Proficiency in Chinese and/or Japanese is an asset but not a requirement
- High-level computer literacy in standard Microsoft Office products (specific proficiency in Excel)
- Experience/Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Platform (ERP) systems is required, experience with ERP usage is highly desirable;
- Experience/Knowledge of accounting/financial and administrative management policies and procedures of a national and/or international non-governmental organization preferred;
- Ability to perform a variety of standard tasks related to administration with energy and a positive, constructive attitude; and
- Team player who can work with people from a broad range of backgrounds and experience
Employment Conditions:
- Starting date: July 2022 (negotiable)
- Location: Seoul, Republic of Korea
- Working hours: full-time (weekdays, 09:00 - 18:00)
- Contract period: 1 year (including a three-month probation period)
- The contract is renewable based on performance review results. Regular (permanent) employment may be offered at the end of two-year contract-based employment
- Starting salary: KRW 33,600,366/year (salary during the three-month probation will be 75% of the starting salary)
